After completing a public health investigation, Huron Perth Public Health is permitting Anna Mae’s Bakery and Restaurant to re-open.
Last week, a positive case of COVID-19 associated with the restaurant was identified. Information at the time indicated that the risk to the public was low. As a precaution the restaurant was temporarily closed.
The operator has met HPPH criteria for re-opening and is now permitted to do so.

As Stage 3 re-openings continue throughout Ontario, Huron Perth Public Health has received questions and comments in regards to large organized events planned or occurring locally.
It’s important to know that HPPH does not approve or deny the holding of large organized events – the Health Unit’s role is to ensure that the guidance and protocols, as defined in the province’s reopening framework, are strictly adhered to at all stages of reopening.

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) recently received a financial donation from an anonymous donor. The donation has contributed to the Health Unit and community partners’ efforts to support Huron County families dealing with the direct and indirect impacts of COVID-19.

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is going to be offering vaccination clinics for grade seven students of the 2019-2020 school cohort to provide the second dose of Hepatitis B (Hep B) and Human Papillomavirus (HPV). These vaccines are typically administered to students in the schools, but due to COVID-19, only one of the two required doses were administered this past school year.
Students need two doses of both the Hep B and HPV in order to be fully protected from these diseases.
