As Huron and Perth counties move into Step 2 of the Provincial Roadmap to Reopen and summer holidays approach, Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) continues to encourage residents to follow public health measures to keep our community safe.

HPPH further expands second dose eligibility

Huron Perth, ON – In keeping with provincial direction, starting Monday, June 28, Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) will expand eligibility for an earlier second dose of COVID-19 vaccine to anyone aged 18 and older who received their first dose of an mRNA vaccine.  The HPPH vaccination booking system will be able to process these requests by noon on Monday, June 28.  Please do not try to call or book an appointment before then.

Case count

  • Our data from today, June 23, shows that Huron Perth has a cumulative total of 1,883 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. There are currently 11 active cases, including three variant of concern cases.  
    • There is one Huron Perth resident in hospital due to COVID-19.
    • The number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains unchanged at 57.

HPPH expands second dose eligibility

Huron Perth, ON – With increased COVID-19 vaccine supply in Huron Perth, local eligibility for earlier second doses continues to expand.  Starting today, June 23, anyone who received their first dose of mRNA vaccine on or before May 30, 2021, can book a second dose appointment for a future HPPH clinic at a shortened interval.
