While investigating a recent confirmed case of COVID-19, Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) has determined that a member of the school community at St. Joseph’s Catholic Elementary School in Stratford is a probable case of COVID-19. Huron Perth Public Health is encouraging all residents six months of age and older to get their influenza vaccine (“flu shot”) this fall.
The influenza vaccine has started to become available in our community, and will be widely available after the province’s official Universal Influenza Immunization Program launch near the end of October.
“Getting the influenza vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones from getting influenza,” says Lorna Askes, Public Health Nurse.

Point Farms – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is looking for a dog involved in an incident at Point Farms Provincial Park north of Goderich to complete an investigation. The incident took place on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at approximately 5:30pm, on the beach area.
The dog involved in the incident is described as possibly a golden retriever, golden to brown in colour. A man was walking the dog at the time, possibly with his daughter.
