The Perth District Health Unit and the Huron County Health Unit will be merging into a single entity effective January 1, 2020, called Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH). The goal of the merger is to improve the delivery of public health programs and services across Huron and Perth counties.

Perth County - The new Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program (OSDCP) was launched by the Ontario government on November 20. The program provides free, routine dental services for low-income seniors, with the goal of keeping them healthy. In Perth County, OSDCP will be delivered by the Perth District Health Unit.
Seniors are eligible for the program if they:
- are 65 years of age or older
- are a resident of Ontario

The Red Scarf “Know HIV. No Stigma” campaign returns to Huron County on Dec. 2, 2019, this time in downtown Blyth.
