Before I begin our COVID-19 update I want to acknowledge the hate-filled act in London on Sunday evening that took the lives of four family members of London’s Muslim community and seriously injured another.  We mourn alongside many over this tragedy. Huron Perth COVID-19 Vaccine Update

Huron Perth, ON – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is accelerating second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, in keeping with provincial direction.

As of Monday June 7, individuals from the following groups, who have received an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna), will be able to book their second dose appointment for a future HPPH clinic at a shortened interval:

  • Individuals aged 70 and older (born in 1951 or earlier)
  • Anyone who received their first vaccine dose on or before April 18, 2021.

Huron Perth COVID-19 Updates

Huron Perth, ON – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is accelerating second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, in keeping with provincial direction.

While the interval between first and second doses can be up to 16 weeks, HPPH will begin to offer second dose appointments at an earlier interval of four weeks or later based on vaccine supply.

As of today, individuals age 80+ (born 1941 or earlier) are able to book a shortened-interval second dose appointment for a future clinic. Many residents who are 80+...

  • Our data from Tuesday, May 25, shows that Huron Perth has a cumulative total of 1,776 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with 2 cases added since the previous day. There are currently 37 active cases, including 20 variants of concern.  
    • There is one Huron Perth resident in hospital due to COVID-19.
    • The number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains unchanged at 57.
