Vaping is the inhaling and exhaling of the aerosol produced by a vapour product. These are more commonly referred to as e-cigarettes.

What are the health risks?

Vaping can increase your exposure to chemicals that could harm your health (such as causing lung damage). Vaping could also expose you to nicotine, which is addictive.

Where is vaping allowed?

The Smoke-Free Ontario Act prohibits vaping in all areas where smoking tobacco and cannabis is prohibited. Many municipalities have additional prohibitions on smoking or vaping in public spaces – check your local municipal by-laws.
