COVID-19 Vaccine Update

  • Huron Perth Public Health has administered 9884 vaccine doses as of March 16.  We have added this information to our COVID-19 in Huron and Perth webpage.
  • Regardless of an individual’s vaccination status, it’s important to continue following public health measures to protect yourself and others from COVID-19. Someone who is vaccinated could potentially still spread the virus to others.  Studies to assess if authorized COVID-19 vaccines prevent asymptomatic infection and transmission are ongoing.
  • As per Ontario’s three-phased plan and ethical framework, and regional prioritization, vaccine eligibility will expand to additional groups.  We will communicate this information once we have updated our booking system to allow appointments for those now eligible.
  • A full list of those eligible for vaccine, and clinic dates and locations in Huron Perth is available at www.hpph.ca/vaccinebooking.
  • A reminder that Huron Perth Public Health is not using the provincial vaccination booking system at this time.  Eligible individuals should go to our appointment booking webpage www.hpph.ca/vaccinebooking or call 1-833-753-2098 to make an appointment at one of our clinics.
  • Please do not call your primary care provider or pharmacy for further information about community clinics. Appointments are booked through HPPH.
  • Everyone who wants to be vaccinated will eventually be vaccinated.  Once HPPH announces that groups are eligible for the vaccine, they are always eligible; they will not miss their chance to be vaccinated as there will be more opportunities.
  • Up-to-date vaccine information is available on the HPPH website www.hpph.ca/vaccine or by calling 1-888-221-2133, press 1 (one).

Huron Perth and the COVID-19 response framework

  • Huron Perth Public Health remains in the Yellow-Protect level of the provincial COVID-19 response framework.
  • Although this affords us more opportunities for gathering, shopping, recreation and other activities, people must still follow public health measures.  In particular, it is essential to maintain physical distance from others not in your household in social, public, and workplace settings.
