Huron Perth Public Health Vaccine Booking Closed Until Friday

Huron-Perth, ON – Huron Perth Public Health has reached capacity for COVID-19 vaccination bookings for adults 80 and older as well as Indigenous adults 55 and older.  The online and phone appointment booking systems have closed for the time being.  They will reopen on Friday, March 5 at 9 a.m. once more clinic dates have been added.

We request everyone’s patience and ask that if you are trying to book an appointment, please wait until the HPPH booking system re-opens. Please do not call your primary care provider or pharmacy for further information. Appointments are being booked through HPPH.

Appointment bookings began on Wednesday, March 3 for those aged 80 and older, and Indigenous adults aged 55 and over.  HPPH has booked 3,500 appointments in the previous 18 hours.  Demand was expected to be high for these first public appointments and HPPH appreciates the enthusiasm of those eager to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.  More clinics will be available.

We remind the public that vaccinations are only available to eligible groups.  Eligible healthcare workers and those connected to long-term care, retirement homes and other congregate settings will be contacted directly by a facility or through your employer. There will be enough vaccine for everyone. Anyone who wants to be vaccinated will have an opportunity to be vaccinated.

Please know that once HPPH announces that you are eligible for the vaccine, you are always eligible; you will not miss your chance to be vaccinated as there will be more opportunities.
