Health Unit Looking for Dog Involved
in a Biting Incident in Stratford

Stratford – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is looking for a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred early evening on Thursday, July 8, 2021 along the Avon River in Stratford. The victim was sitting on a bench near the Stratford Lions Pool when they were bitten.

The dog involved in the incident is described as golden retriever-like, medium-sized and with short hair.  It was accompanied by one male.

HPPH is investigating this incident to verify if the dog has up-to-date rabies shots. If the dog is not found, the person who was bitten may need to complete a series of rabies shots.

HPPH reminds people to always obtain the contact information of the owners of the animal involved in a biting incident.
