Wind Turbine Study

The former Huron County Health Unit conducted a study to better understand the impact of wind turbines on the health of Huron County residents. This study was reviewed and received research ethics clearance through a University of Waterloo Research Ethics Committee.

Eligibility

Residents were eligible to participate if they lived within 10 km of a wind turbine. View the eligibility map to see which areas were included in the study. Recruitment for the study ended October 31, 2018, and data collection ended November 30, 2018.

Reports

The final report for this study was released in December 2019.

The interim reports provide background on purpose, methods and recruitment efforts, as well as the number of residents who have participated in different aspects of the study as of July 2018 and November 2018.
