Identifying a lapse
The identification of a lapse is based on assessment and investigation of a business or facility at a specific point-in-time. These assessments and investigations begin when potential infection prevention and control lapses are brought to the attention of the local Medical Officer of Health.
Report requirements
In accordance with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care requirements, once an investigation is completed, a final report must be posted for one year from the time all corrective actions were completed.
