Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is seeking PHYSICIANS/NURSE PRACTITIONERS to provide service as an independent contractor for its Sexual Health Clinics.
The Sexual Health/Harm Reduction team provides clients with confidential, evidence-based, client-centred care. Sexual Health Clinic services include: STI testing and treatment; assessment and treatment of genital rashes, sores, and bumps; birth control prescriptions; IUS/IUD insertion and removal; pregnancy testing, options counselling; and emergency contraception; and HPV testing.
The duties of the Physician/Nurse Practitioner include:
- Ensuring examinations and treatments are consistent with medical practice and relevant standard treatment protocols and guidelines.
- Providing IUS/IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals or be willing to complete timely training to provide these services; experience is considered an asset.
- Utilizing and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
- Responding to telephone and email consults, as needed, post clinic shift.
Current available clinic shifts start in September and include:
- One monthly Tuesday evening clinic from 5 to 7 p.m. in Stratford.
- One monthly Friday morning clinic from 9 to 11 a.m. or 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Listowel.
- Daytime availability and the ability to work at other HPPH clinic locations are also welcomed.
Successful applicants will enter into a Contract Services Agreement with HPPH.
