We currently have two (2) openings for casual Custodial Staff starting September 2025. These positions can cover any of our four office sites (West Gore (Stratford), Festival Square (Stratford), Listowel and Clinton).
Summary:
Custodial Staff are responsible for ensuring cleanliness and order of the buildings and properties, completing minor repairs to the buildings and equipment and other building and maintenance responsibilities to support the efforts of all staff and programs/services. The incumbent may also assist with Occupational Health and Safety initiatives.
Education:
- Minimum of Grade 12 education
Skills/Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of sanitary practices and their importance
- Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and other relevant legislation
- Self-motivated and organized
- Basic computer skills would be considered an asset
- Experience with minor repairs and building maintenance
- Willingness to commute to alternate locations periodically

- Ability to lift 40 lbs
- Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement
- Successful candidates must obtain and/or maintain a satisfactory vulnerable sector check
- Immunizations in accordance with Board Policy/Collective Agreements including annual influenza and COVID-19 immunizations unless medically contra indicated
- Successful candidates must possess and maintain a valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a safe and well-maintained vehicle suitable for carrying out duties on behalf of the employer
Hours:
Core business hours are from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. These positions may work an adjusted schedule of 6 a.m.-2 p.m. or 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Other options for scheduling may be available.
Wage:
$24.61 to $28.23 per hour
Closing:
September 3, 2025 at 2 p.m. or until the positions are filled.
