Dental Hygienist

Summary:

We have an opening for a full-time (1.0 FTE) DENTAL HYGIENIST starting July 28, 2025. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for the administration and delivery of community and school-based oral health screening, assessment and mandated clinical services. This position will be based from our West Gore office.

Education:

  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene from a recognized school
  • minimum of two (2) years of experience

Skills:

  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • knowledge of health inequities and ability to provide culturally safe care
  • proven computer skills, including familiarity with Windows, Microsoft office programs and dental software programs.

Conditions:

  • Current registration and authorization to self-initiate with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
  • Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement
  • Successful candidate must obtain and maintain a satisfactory vulnerable sector check
  • Immunizations in accordance with Board Policy/Collective Agreements including annual influenza and COVID-19 immunization unless medically contra indicated
  • Successful candidate must possess and maintain a valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a safe and well-maintained vehicle suitable for carrying out duties on behalf of the employer.

Hours:

Usually 8:30am – 4:30pm; Monday to Friday

Wage:

$37.15 – $43.20 per hour
