Program Administrative Assistant | Full-time

Summary:

We have an opening for a full-time 1.0 FTE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT starting approximately April 27, 2026. This is a full time in person, office based position out of our Clinton office. This position provides front reception to support and ensure delivery of Health Unit programs and administrative services.

Education:

  • Secondary School diploma
  • Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Electronic databases is an asset

Skills:

  • Ability to learn new software programs quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Works independently and as a team player
  • Previous work in a health care facility would be an asset
  • Attention to details and able to multitask frequently

Public Health Inspector | Temporary Full-time

Summary:

We have an opening for a temporary full-time 1.00 FTE PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTOR starting April, 2026 and ending December 31, 2027. The base office for this position will be Stratford - West Gore.

The successful candidate will work with a dynamic and progressive group of professionals on a
multidisciplinary team. Public Health Inspectors on the Environmental Health Team are responsible
for:

  • Minimizing the incidence of health hazards through education, inspections and investigations under the Health Protection and Promotion Act.
  • Inspection and Investigation programs: Food Safety; Health Hazards; Rabies, Zoonotic and Vector-borne Diseases, Infectious and Communicable Diseases Prevention and Control and Safe Water programs.
  • Progressive enforcement activities under the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

Qualifications:

  • Hold the CPHI(C) credential
  • A bachelor’s degree in applied sciences or equivalent from an institution approved by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI) Board of Certification
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a Certified Public Health Inspector preferred
  • Membership with the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors preferred
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication including computer skills
  • Possesses knowledge and application of the Health Protection and Promotion Act and associated regulations

Skills:

  • Demonstrated evidence-informed risk assessment, investigative and problem-solving abilities, and skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Windows, Microsoft office programs and use of the Internet; knowledge of the Hedgehog Inspection Database is an asset.

We have an opening for a part-time 0.5 FTE PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTOR starting April 2026. This position can be based from either our Clinton or Stratford-West Gore office.

Summary:
