Huron Perth, ON – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is pleased to announce that the HPPH 2024 Annual Report is now available online. This report showcases the programs and services HPPH delivered in 2024 to protect and promote population health and prevent disease, strengthening quality of life and well-being for all. The report also includes a summary of financial information.

“The HPPH 2024 Annual Report includes updates on core public health programs and services likely familiar to our community, such as infectious disease control, immunizations, and Healthy Babies Healthy Children,” says Dr. Miriam Klassen, Medical Officer of Health.

“Our report also describes several new initiatives which leverage technology, partnerships and latest evidence to achieve public health goals. These include leading the infection prevention and control hub to support congregate settings, widely sharing our social connection primer and launching a new opioid monitoring tool.”

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) uses evidence-based programs, services, and policies to address a wide range of health issues at a community level. Our work includes immunizations and infectious disease control to chronic disease prevention, environmental health, and emergency preparedness.

As a publicly funded organization, HPPH is accountable to the community, our board, and the provincial ministry of health.

HPPH is governed by the Huron Perth Board of Health, made up of municipal representatives from Huron County, Perth County, Stratford and St. Marys, as well as provincial appointees.  We operate under the Ontario Public Health Standards and the Health Protection and Promotion Act set by the Ontario Ministry of Health.

HPPH regularly reports on its performance through annual reports, strategic plans, and financial statements.
