Huron Perth Public Health Celebrates Canadian Public Health Week 2026
Huron Perth, ON – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is proud to celebrate Canadian Public Health Week 2026 from April 6 to 10, joining public health organizations across the country in recognizing the vital role public health plays in building healthy communities.
“Healthy communities are more productive, resilient, and prosperous,” says Dr. Miriam Klassen, HPPH medical officer of health and CEO. “As the Association of Local Public Health Agencies notes, local public health plays a critical role in making healthy communities possible. Through strong partnerships and community-driven approaches, we support better health outcomes while increasing efficiency and economic stability.”
“None of this would be possible without our dedicated staff, whose commitment and compassion are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to share their stories through our upcoming Spotlight on Public Health social media series. I also thank our board of health members for their steadfast leadership.”
HPPH is committed to its mission of taking action to protect and promote population health and prevent disease, strengthening quality of life and wellbeing for all. Community members are encouraged to follow HPPH’s social media channels and visit its website to learn more about local public health programs and services.
