Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is advising the community of a new measles exposure. The exposure occurred at Clinton Public Hospital – Emergency Department waiting room on May 8.

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) has released its annual report, The Real Cost of Eating: Food Insecurity in Huron and Perth 2024. The report reveals that the average grocery bill for a family of four has increased to $309 per week, or $1,338 per month. 

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is advising the community of two new measles exposures. The exposures occurred at the Listowel-Wingham and Area Family Health Team – Listowel Clinic and at the Wingham and District Hospital – Emergency Department on April 29.

May 4 to 10 is Emergency Preparedness Week in Canada. This year’s provincial theme is, “Plan for every season.” Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) reminds residents that everyone has a role to play in preparing for emergencies. 

“Every household is encouraged to have an emergency plan,” says Dale Lyttle, Senior Public Health Inspector. “Taking action to ensure you and your family are prepared for emergency situations throughout the year can help lessen the impact and stress of these events.”

The exposures occurred at St Marys Memorial Hospital – Emergency Department waiting room on Wednesday April 23, 2025 and at Seaforth Community Hospital – Emergency Department waiting room on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

The exposures occurred at Veky's International Cuisine in Listowel on Saturday April 19, at Stratford General Hospital – Emergency Department on Tuesday, April 22, and at Stratford General Hospital – Ultrasound Department on Wednesday, April 23.
