Measles
Measles continues to circulate in Huron and Perth. For information about measles, community exposure locations, and how to protect yourself and others, visit the Measles page.
A multi-day heat event is expected this weekend, starting Sunday, June 22, 2025. Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) encourages residents to be prepared and to take precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.
As the measles outbreak continues in Ontario, including in Huron and Perth counties, Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is urging summer day camp and program providers to take proactive measures to protect the health of children and staff.
Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is advising the community of several new measles exposures. The exposures occurred at several locations in and around Stratford between June 3 and 6.
On Thursday, June 5, 2025, Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a Special Air Quality Statement for Wingham, Blyth, Northern Huron County, Goderich, Bluewater and Southern Huron County. Wildfire smoke is causing or expected to cause poor air quality and reduced visibility in these areas. The air quality is expected to improve on Friday.

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) has released its annual report, The Real Cost of Eating: Food Insecurity in Huron and Perth 2024. The report reveals that the average grocery bill for a family of four has increased to $309 per week, or $1,338 per month.
