COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccination Update

Huron Perth Public Health will not be holding COVID-19 or influenza clinics this fall for the general public. To receive the COVID-19 or influenza vaccine, contact your local pharmacy or healthcare provider.
Influenza vaccine will be arriving at pharmacies and to primary care providers in early October, at which time, individuals identified as high risk will be eligible to receive the influenza vaccine.

The general population can expect to receive influenza and COVID-19 vaccines late October.  

In November, HPPH will be holding COVID-19 clinics for children (11 years and younger). Appointments will be required and can be made online starting mid-October at www.ontario.ca/book-vaccine.

COVID-19 rapid antigen tests (RATs)

HPPH no longer distributes Rapid Antigen Tests for the public. Tests are only available for those eligible for treatment. For information on COVID-19 testing eligibility and options please see COVID-19 testing and treatment.

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccine

Ontario’s publicly funded RSV prevention program is offered to high-risk people and settings. Details for the 2024-25 RSV prevention program will be released shortly. The RSV vaccine is not publicly funded for the general public. The Ministry of Health has information about the vaccine and who is eligible:

If you are eligible and are interested in getting the RSV vaccine, talk to your healthcare provider.
