May 5-11, 2024, is Emergency Preparedness Week in Canada. This year’s provincial theme is, “Plan for every season.” Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) reminds residents that everyone has a part to play in preparing for emergencies.  

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is looking for a dog involved in an incident in Wingham on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m.  The incident took place on the Wingham Community Trail, on the part of the trail by the North Huron Community Food Share building.

On Friday, April 26, 2024, Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) issued 1557 suspension orders to elementary and secondary students whose immunization records are incomplete.

April is Oral Health Month in Canada. The Oral Health Team at Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is using the month to highlight “friendly” dental visits – a free service offered at HPPH dental clinics for children aged three years and under.

In January 2024, HPPH will focus on providing COVID vaccinations only for youth aged 11 and under (not aged 12 and under). Anyone who has reached their 12^th birthday will not be eligible to attend an HPPH COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
