Administrative Assistant | Job Posting 30-2021

We currently have openings for casual ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS starting immediately in the Stratford/Clinton office.  Contract end date may vary.

Summary:

This position provides support to ensure delivery of health unit programs and administrative services. Administrative Assistants work closely with department heads and program personnel.

Education:

  • Secondary school diploma
  • advanced knowledge of Word and Excel
  • electronic databases is an asset

Skills:

  • ability to learn new software programs quickly and efficiently
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • accuracy and team player
  • previous work in a health care facility would be an asset

Conditions:

  • terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the relevant CUPE Collective Agreement
  • obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal reference check and require immunizations in accordance with Board Policy including annual influenza immunization unless medically contra indicated.
  • a valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a safe and well maintained vehicle suitable for carrying out duties on behalf of the employer.

Hours:

  • Hours vary and will include evenings and weekends
  • HPPH operating hours are Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 4:30 pm)

Wage:

  • $24.62 - $28.25 per hour

REGISTERED NURSES (Casual) | Job Posting 31-2021

We currently have openings for casual REGISTERED NURSES for vaccine preventable disease support for COVID-19. There is a possibility of the position starting immediately and with a likely end of December 31, 2021. We will be accepting resumes until December 31, 2021. Casual employees are called in to work as needed and no specific guarantee of number of hours can be extended. The COVID-19 response will impact the number of hours available.

Nurse Practitioner Part-time (.1-.2 FTE) | Job Posting 18-2021

We have an opening in the Community and Family Health Department for a part-time (1 - 2 days/week, 7-14 hrs/week) Nurse Practitioner starting May 1, 2021 until September 30, 2021 then casual as needed after September. The successful applicant will primarily provide maternal-child services to the Anabaptist community through the Mother and Young Child Clinics. Clinic days are scheduled to meet community needs.

Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with other health care providers to deliver primary health care and wellness services to Anabaptist expectant women, new mothers, and their children (primarily birth to age 6 years). Nurse Practitioner services are provided in accordance with the Standard of Practice, Nurse Practitioner 2019.

Education:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class
  • Demonstrated knowledge of models and practices based on health promotion and disease prevention theories

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Proficiency in oral and written communications including computer skills
  • Clinical skills and experience in providing prenatal/postnatal care and infant/child health services, preferably in a community setting
  • Skills in program development and evaluation
  • Work experience in providing culturally competent care is an asset

  • a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and access to a safe and well maintained vehicle suitable for travel on behalf of the employer
