Dental Educator/Assistant | Temporary Full-Time

We currently have an opening for a temporary full-time DENTAL EDUCATOR/ASSISTANT beginning immediately and ending on December 31, 2022. This position can be based at our Stratford or Clinton office.

Summary:

The Dental Educator/Assistant assists with the administration and delivery of community and school-based oral health screening, assessment and clinical services. The successful candidate will develop and implement preventative dental education programs in a variety of settings.

Education:

Completion of an approved Dental Assistant program, plus certification as a Level 2 Dental Assistant with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association.

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven computer skills
  • Ability to provide culturally safe care
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service

Conditions:

  • Current membership in good standing with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association
  • Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the CUPE Perth Collective Agreement
  • Obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal reference check with vulnerable sector screen
  • Immunizations in accordance with Board Policy/Collective Agreements including annual influenza and 3 doses of a COVID-19 immunization unless medically contraindicated.
  • A valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a safe and well-maintained vehicle suitable for carrying out duties on behalf of the employer.

Hours: Usually 8:30am - 4:30pm; Monday to Friday

Wage: $25.84 - $28.73 per hour
