Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is responsible for inspecting:

Routine and complaint-based inspections are conducted to ensure these establishments are providing safe services to consumers by meeting health standards.

We inspect regulated health professionals (e.g., doctors, dentists, chiropractors) only when we receive a complaint. We are not authorized to routinely inspect places where regulated health professionals work.

Tobacco and vapour product retailer convictions

Huron Perth Public Health enforces the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 (SFOA) to prevent youth access to tobacco and vapour products. Under the Tobacco, Vapour and Smoke Protocol, 2018, the board of health shall publicly disclose a summary report of all retailer/owner convictions related to tobacco sales offences and vapour product sales offences.
