Tobacco and vapour product retailer convictions
Huron Perth Public Health enforces the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 (SFOA) to prevent youth access to tobacco and vapour products. Under the Tobacco, Vapour and Smoke Protocol, 2019, the Board of Health shall publicly disclose a summary report of all retailer/owner convictions related to tobacco sales offences and vapour product sales offences. This process was interrupted during the acute phase of the COVID pandemic as the majority of HPPH resources were diverted into COVID response. Current retail convictions in Huron and Perth will be disclosed as soon as possible.
