Huron Perth, ON - Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) encourages all residents six months of age and older to get their influenza vaccine (“flu shot”) this fall. COVID-19 Update: Inspection blitz, encouraging vaccinations

Huron Perth, ON – Huron Perth Public Health recently completed an inspection blitz focusing on North Huron, in response to questions about compliance in the area. In addition to routine inspections, public health inspectors also focused on requirements under the Reopening Ontario Act. This includes the proof of vaccination requirement for certain indoor public settings.
The inspection blitz found that 94% of North Huron operators were in compliance with provincial requirements. One ticket is pending....

Case count
- As of Tuesday, October 26, Huron Perth has a cumulative total of 2,309 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. There are currently 20 active cases.
- Sadly, we are reporting one death due to COVID-19, bringing the total in Huron Perth to 67. We extend our condolences to this community member’s loved ones.
- So far there have been 67 people between the ages of 25-104 who have passed away due to COVID-19.

Huron Perth, ON – The Ontario GO-VAXX bus mobile clinic will be heading to Huron Perth next week to provide first and second doses of Pfizer vaccine to anyone born in 2009 or earlier.
Starting on Tuesday, October 26, the GO-VAXX bus will be stopping in Wingham at the Wescast Community Complex, and then rolling into the Festival Marketplace Shopping Centre in Stratford on Wednesday, October 27. Health Unit holding community vaccine clinics for grade seven students

Huron Perth, ON – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) will be holding vaccination clinics for grade seven students across Huron Perth to provide the routine grade seven vaccines: Meningococcal, Hepatitis B (Hep B), and Human Papillomavirus (HPV). The Meningococcal vaccine is required for school attendance, according to the Immunization of School Pupils Act. Students need two doses of both the Hep B and HPV vaccines in order to be fully protected from these diseases.
