The government of Ontario released new testing guidelines for COVID-19 on Sunday, May 24. Testing is now available in Huron Perth for the following populations:
- All people with at least one symptom of COVID-19, even for mild symptoms.
- People who are concerned that they have been exposed to COVID-19. This includes people who are contacts of or may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case.
- People who are at risk of exposure to COVID-19 through their employment, including essential workers...

Thanks to the hard work of Huron Perth residents in following public health measures, Huron and Perth counties have avoided a significant surge of COVID-19 cases in the community so far. Cases of COVID-19 in long-term care and group settings, however, remain a concern.

Huron Perth Public Health was saddened to learn today of the passing of a resident at Greenwood Court who had tested positive for COVID-19. The resident was in their 80s and became sick with COVID-19 symptoms on April 3.
