The Red Scarf “Know HIV. No Stigma” campaign returns to Huron County on Dec. 2, 2019, this time in downtown Blyth.
The incredible advances in HIV/AIDS treatment, testing and prevention are still overshadowed by stigma around the subject. To help raise awareness and fight stigma, the Huron County Health Unit and volunteers hold a Red Scarf event every year on, or near, World AIDS Day Dec. 1.

Huron Perth, ON - Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for much of southern Ontario, including Huron Perth. A heat event is expected today and tomorrow (Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16). Daytime high temperatures are expected to reach 30 to 33 degrees Celsius, beginning Wednesday afternoon. Huron Perth, ON – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) has learned of five suspected opioid-related overdose deaths in the region this December. Police responded to four deaths in Huron County and one in Stratford between December 4 and December 24, 2021.

Our data from Tuesday, June 15, shows that Huron Perth has a cumulative total of 1,867 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with five cases added since the previous day. There are currently 21 active cases, including five variant of concern cases.
