Health Unit looking for dog involved in an incident in Wingham

Huron Perth, ON – Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is looking for a dog involved in an incident in Wingham on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m.  The incident took place on the Wingham Community Trail, on the part of the trail by the North Huron Community Food Share building. 

The dog involved in the incident is described as small, white, and possibly a Shih Tzu.  One female, described as having brown hair and wearing a navy blue windbreaker, was with the dog.

Suspension orders issued to students with incomplete immunization records

Huron Perth, ON – On Friday, April 26, 2024, Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) issued 1557 suspension orders to elementary and secondary students whose immunization records are incomplete. Under the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA) students may be suspended from school starting on May 23, 2024, if their records are not updated by that time.

Initially there were more than 5100 incomplete records; about 70% of those records have been updated since January when HPPH began sending notifications...

Huron Perth, ON – The Immunization team at Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is reminding parents to update their child’s immunization records. Nearly 2,900 records remain incomplete, down from the initial 5100.
